On June 2, 2015, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission released the 94 Calls to Action — eleven years ago today. They’re a reminder that we all have a role in addressing the harms of residential schools and pushing real reconciliation forward.

We also honour the late Honourable Murray Sinclair, C.C., O.M., M.S.C., K.C. — the first Indigenous judge on the Court of King’s Bench and the TRC’s Chief Commissioner. His leadership shaped this work, and his legacy stays with us.

A good reminder today: truth was never the hard part — reconciliation is.

The Youth Conservation Corp (YCC) is accepting applications now! Apply soon to interview with us. Earn some money this summer break by supporting your community and working outside. The YCC is a Natural Resource Department (NRD) summer program intended to provide LTBB youth 14-18 years old with a summer job opportunity while familiarizing the youth with biological, environmental and conservation enforcement professions of the Tribe.
Learn to identify invasive species and how to promote native varieties. Get on the water to gather population data and support our local fisheries. Spend time outdoors to improve wildlife habitat. Gain first-hand experience of how the NRD programs support LTBB treaty rights.
