We are looking for a MS Azure, Security and Networking Specialist who is self-motivated, driven, an innovative problem solver and will have a direct impact on the success of our business. The chosen candidate will focus on Olsen Consulting’s internal Azure network and security configurations. This is a 3-month contract, remote position with the opportunity to move to a permanent, full-time position for the right candidate. At the end of the 3 months, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to move to client work.

As our MS Azure, Security and Networking Specialist, you will:
-Finalize Olsen Consulting’s internal Azure network and security setup.
-Keep up to date with technology trends.
-Responsible for preparing technical design documentation and providing knowledge transfer to other team members.
-Responsible for networking, compute, storage, databases, security and automation.
-Implement best practices.
-Define cloud strategy.
-Define the technological and security parameters related to Microsoft Office 365 and Azure;

Responsible for supporting the technical architecture of the MS Azure Platform including services such as:
-Platform as a Service
-Database as a Service
-Application Service Management
-Azure Firewall
-Platform Performance and Security

-SQL Management Capabilities including Maintenance Plans, Database Migrations, Database Service Setup, Backup and Recovery.
-Monitor and review IT system logs, server security and special services on servers; identify errors and make modifications to monitoring performance metrics to enable proactive maintenance.
-Perform cost analysis and cost management.

-Lead the deployment of Azure solutions for clients
-Maintain a close working relationship with clients, as a "Trusted Advisor". Set clear expectations, challenge assumptions, solicit feedback, and take ownership of project deliverables.

Education:
-Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Related Discipline or equivalent work experience in a related field.

Required qualifications:
-5+ years of Information Technology field experience
-3+ hands-on experience in implementing and/or maintaining highly complex cloud environments
-Experience implementing Azure
-Strong experience in designing architectures integrating SaaS, IaaS, PaaS and DaaS concepts
-Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Technology stack, Microsoft cloud technologies and network topologies.
-General technical understanding of cloud platforms and supporting technologies.
-Knowledge of cloud foundational components such as identity and access management (IAM) software-defined networking, security, governance, and compliance.
-Understanding of cloud automation and orchestration tools and techniques including git, Azure DevOps, ARM or equivalent.
-A team player, with a desire to work in an innovative, fast-paced work environment.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Great problem-solving and decision-making skills.
-High level of integrity.
-Ability to handle and maintain the confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
-Ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities across a variety of clients.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Azure Security Engineer Associate Certification -CISSP Certification -SSCP Certification Strong experience in Azure

As our Data Analyst, you will:
-Create meaningful products whose scope ranges from automating day-to-day tasks to driving the strategic direction of a business.
-Apply advanced analytical methods and theory on big data sets to efficiently solve challenging problems
-Develop ETL pipelines to conduct end-to-end analysis according to client specification and needs
-Leverage multiple data sources and programming languages to create reporting and performance monitoring tools and dashboards
-Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, reporting tools and other structures
-Derive meaningful, communicable insights from the data and tell a story with it
-Clearly demonstrate your technical expertise to audiences of all levels and across multiple disciplinary areas through presentations and client demos.
-Perform internal research and development with the goal of being a leader in the development, update, and management of the data and information field
-Trouble-shoot/resolve data errors, omissions, conflicts, or inconsistencies
-Collaborate with industry partners to collectively tackle inefficiencies, identify high-value gaps, and develop elegant solutions in construction technology.
-Play an integral role in the development and success of Olsen - we are quickly growing and expanding into other opportunities.
