Fall Swim! Online spaces are full but we do have drop in space!

It’s true! A responsible person (14 years of age or older) must be within arms reach of any child under the age of 8 at all times.

Why? You may think, this is excessive, my child would never be the one to drown at a pool. The answer to that is unfortunately false. Many children of a young age can have moments of panic or found themselves in situations where they may be quite literally over their head.

Lifeguards at Mount Pleasant average 9-15 rescues every season and a majority are young children without parents in the water. Our goal is to keep every patron as safe as possible but without the help of responsible parents and caregivers it is more likely that rescues will occur.

Please treat your lifeguards with respect and courtesy, at the end of the day we are here to keep you safe and to make sure everyone goes home alive and well.
