ently, I lost my brother and my mother-in-law, and then my worst nightmare came with the traumatic loss of my husband. I seek distraction and therapy from this profound complex grief through vintage collecting. I have met so many caring people in this community. My husband, David, was a passionate outdoorsman and prairie boy at heart. His mother was a farm girl and homemaker. Their influence attracts me to country prairie picking. I love that vintage collecting is so friendly to our environment - our family loves nature and wild places. On the other hand, my family background- coming as Asian immigrants to Calgary- put me in the city scene with all the mid century modern influences as well. I want to share and sell vintage as I feel everyone can find a little joy in their lives from meaningful things. I like to collect items that remind us of people, relationships, or stories from the past. Asian International, Country Prairie, MCM City - You'll see all these themes in my collections. I want to share them so others can make connections too. It's a wide view of vintage treasures so I call it VINTAGESCAPES.
