We’re gathering knitters of all abilities at weekly knit-alongs starting Jan. 27 (Family Literacy Day) so we can make enough hats for a Pink Hat Rally in support of early childhood reading next fall (near International Literacy Day).

🧶Are you a knitter or would you like to learn? Are you someone who cares about the reading lives of children? Join us Family Literacy Day (Jan. 27) for Left Unread’s first Pink Hat Knit-along! 💖📖
This project is inspired by the picture book ‘The Pink Hat,’ which closes with an uplifting march of neighbours in pink hats. Pink is the colour of Left Unread, a movement that champions each child’s along with local organizations. 💞
To gather hundreds of pink toques for a rally next fall, we’re uniting early literacy supporters and knitters of all levels at weekly knit-alongs!
Won’t you join us and help ensure no child in Calgary is ?
