R Guitars

We sadly had to say goodbye to our sweet Xena last night. She had a large, aggressive, cancerous tumour in her throat that was terminal. We opted to have her put down at home, so she could have one last steak Friday. She died calmly and peacefully, in the arms of those who loved her the most. She was the best dog I’ve ever had, and will be remembered forever.

First Monday of Calgary Stampede so of course we took in 14 guitars 🤠
I was at the bench from 9:45am until 4pm today, and got a grand total of 45 minutes of billable hours aka actual guitar work done. I also purchased 2 guitars (1977 LP special 77-55, and a Godin classical) and we sold a 🍒 1974 Les Paul Custom! All while fielding 18 phone conversations, 9 text message threads, 6 emails, 3 instagram inquiries, and a WhatsApp call.

After we get the 4 kiddos to bed, unless I have a rehearsal, I work a night shift 9pm-1am most nights. I have the phone on mute, and usually put on a podcast, audio book, or long form interview.
It’s so peaceful when the phone doesn’t ring, and I actually get to fix some guitars 😎
