One of my favourite parts of this job is seeing people connect with nature.

I was lucky enough to be part of this event where local Grade 1 students helped plant 100 trees in celebration of the Royal Canadian Legion's 100th anniversary.

The excitement on their faces was contagious, and it was a wonderful reminder that every mature tree starts with someone willing to plant it.
