Calgary Bangla Ensemble has started its journey with a mission to promote Bangla theatrical endeavors and other forms of Bengali fine arts in Calgary and beyond. One of the main focuses of this group is to engage Calgary based Bengali children and youth with its Bengali theatre productions. Calgary Bangla Ensemble strongly believes that if our Bengali culture and heritage are to survive in Canada,
we must not only encourage our Bengali children and youth to cherish our culture and heritage but also develop a platform for them so that they can get ample opportunities to get involved with activities related to Bengali theatre and other forms of Bengali fine arts. Through the rich experiences of actively taking part in Bengali theatre productions and productions related to diverse forms of Bengali fine arts, our children and youth in Calgary with Bengali heritage will truly learn to nurture their Bengali culture and appreciate their Bengali heritage. They will carry the torch of Bengali fine arts and pass it to their next generations, and thus our Bengali culture and heritage will continue to live and thrive in Calgary and other parts of Canada in many years to come. Keeping its focus on children and youth, Calgary Bangla Ensemble's ambition is to stage Bengali fine arts productions which will provide exceptional experiences for the audience. The lifeblood of an artist is her creativity. Hence, Calgary Bangla Ensemble is dedicated to leverage the creative minds of its members of different backgrounds and ages so that its productions take its audience out of monotony and give them a true sense of purpose of Bengali fine arts.
