IRCC has *increased the burden of proof* for vulnerable open work permit applications.

If you're on a *closed work permit* and facing *mental, physical, or sexual abuse, you *may still be eligible — but *strong evidence is now crucial* (payslips, messages, documents, etc.).

⚠️ Not all situations qualify anymore:
Business closures, fair layoffs, or known fraudulent job offers *do NOT fall under abuse claims*.
