💡 Tip 1: The Grading Check: Wait for the next melt or rain. Walk around your house. If you see water pooling against your foundation, grab a shovel (or even your hands!) and simply move dirt to ensure it slopes away from your house. This simple fix can prevent cracked concrete and wet basements.

💡 Tip 2: Gutter Extension: No shovel? Walk to your downspouts. If they empty straight down onto your foundation, manually re-direct the water away. Use a spare piece of pipe or even a plastic bin to catch the water and direct it at least 6 feet out.

💡 Tip 3: The Squeaky Hinge Fix: Got a door that makes noise? Don’t buy expensive lubricants. Find the squeak, and simply wipe a bar of soap or even a little pencil graphite over the hinge pin. Squeak gone!
