Day 9 of our 12 days of circularity is around how to make your gift wrapping more circular. Of course the best choice is not to have to gift wrap at all, which ties in well with picking gifts that are experiences, time or skill sharing. But if you do have something and need to wrap it, you can find innovative ways to limit waste by making sure your wrap is multipurpose, such as using a towel, scarf, pillowcase or reusable bag instead of gift wrap that would otherwise be thrown away. And another option might be to reuse paper bags, wrap from flower bouquets, or tissue paper to wrap. When you use materials that can easily be recycled or composted, then you are helping to make your choices more circular. Feel free to share your own cool ideas around circular gift wrap in the comments!

Sorry we missed Day 7, so will do Days 7 and 8 together. When thinking about centerpieces, or other table adornment for when you are hosting, some circular choices can include using cloth napkins that can be laundered and used again and again. Centerpieces can be made of household decor you have around, either decorations, natural elements such as pinecones or tree boughs, or paper origami designs are fun too.

When thinking about gift giving, it's true that it's the thought behind the gift that matters more than the gift itself, and gifts that can be more circular include experiences, sharing of time, skills, food (baking!) or things other than material items that may just end up being regifted anyways. Putting a bit of thought and a personal touch to your gift makes it all that more valuable. Feel free to share other tips on what you have done to make your centerpieces and gift giving more circular in the comments below!
