For anyone interested in starting painting, oil paints can be intimidating because they are difficult to clean up, but having a jar of thinner and some wet wipes makes things so much easier. A big bonus of oil paints over acrylics is that they are very forgiving. You can leave your palette for an hour and not worry about coming back to dried paints. There are even oil paints that have a chemical to make them water soluble.
