What’s your favorite way to move or workout? 💃🏻🕺🏻🏃🏽♀️
Genuinely interested! Always searching for unfamiliar ways to move familiar muscle 🙏🏼 so if you want to recommend new workouts let me know please!
I’ve been doing a combination of yoga, strength training, HIIT, dog walking, day napping, controlling mild anxiety, and trying not to break down lately! 🤣😂😅😭✨

Bending into autumn/winter like nobody’s bizznizzz 💁🏽♀️❄️
In class I always try to highlight the balance between strength and flexibility- sthira and sukha. Backbends are great ways to understand your body and how your mind and emotions react to this spinal extension. It’s not a shape we come into on a regular basis. It feels weird. It feels vulnerable.
It is in these postures, though, that I feel like we find ourselves. These postures of vulnerability, where we’re a bit uncomfy, where we start to question why we’re doing what we’re doing.
In these rare moments where we’re on our mats questioning ourselves, just noticing what the hells going on in our bodies- i think this is where we begin to find alignment with who we really are. Do i push back from challenges? Am i too aggressive? Am i too hard hard on myself? Am i squeezing myself into shapes not meant for me now? 🧐
Too many questions! But that’s why we practice!

Is it just me, or is it hard to stick to your own truth? I feel like there are too many external or societal factors that make it hard to live your truth.
Too many of us go to university to pursue a degree we’re not entirely passionate about because it’s what’s expected of us.
Too many of us are stuck working jobs that make us unhappy because it’s accepted, it pays the bills, it’s comfortable.
We try to only share the ups and highlights in our lives because we think that’s what’s acceptable. Hiding the mess in our homes and our failures.
It’s not wrong or right though. It is what it is. Based on personal experience though, it’s insanely liberating to share your truth. ❤️
Am i living my full truth though? Nope. It’s a journey. I still find it hard to trust myself at times but who doesn’t? 🤷🏽♀️
I LOVE the mantra above. It reminds me to reflect, look within and recalibrate myself to live out my truth, my passion, what makes me happy. ✨

Glute Activation! Our glutes are one of the largest muscles in the body yet we don't really use them given our current lifestyles. Before starting leg day or lower body workouts- try to do 3 of these exercises just to activate the butt and make the most of your workout. :)
