Calgary Stampede Rodeo

The Calgary Stampede is excited to have filled the first of our qualifying spots for the 2026 Calgary Stampede Barrel Racing and Breakaway Roping last weekend in Salina, UT!

Held in partnership with the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association, the Western Regional Qualifier event is the first of two opportunities for barrel racing and breakaway roping competitors to earn a spot to compete at the Calgary Stampede in July.

Congratulations to Barrel Racers Kathy Grimes and Michelle Alley, and Breakaway Ropers Hadley Hiner and Madison Outhier on securing their spots to the 2026 Calgary Stampede Rodeo!

50 years of dedication to the Calgary Stampede. Today we’re recognizing Brenda Edwards for her incredible milestone, half a century of volunteer service.

Her time, commitment, and steady presence have played a meaningful role in the rodeo community and the Stampede over the years. Thank you Brenda!
