Timbo the Tuk Tuk drive is what we call him. He was referred to me by a friend that had recently traveled to Phonm Phen, Cambodia and had nothing but good things to say. I’m glad I took his advice.

Timbo was great, and we stayed in touch for a few years after. He gave us the whole Cambodian experience, that’s for sure. In his pride and joy, he toured us around to all the best local sites and showed us where we should stay. Believe it or not, my partner and I showed up without a place booked! Oh, the good old days…

Everybody seemed to know Timbo, or maybe he just kept bringing tourists to the same places, it made us feel pretty important and safe either way. He definitely had connections in the Cambodian Military! I'll have to check the policies on shooting rocket launchers and throwing grenades.

Pro tip - Always bring flags or items to give away. The joy is so worth it.
