Well.. not gonna lie, I’m crying while typing this. 🤎

The amount of love you’ve shown Western Hive over the last day has been overwhelming in the best way.

Every like, comment, share, order, message, and recommendation goes so much further than you know.

The truth is, I have no idea what I’m doing half the time. I just show up every day, work my butt off, and try to create products and a brand that you genuinely love.

To see so many of you excited about what we’ve built together means everything to me.

My whole family is wrapped up in this rodeo now. They’re helping manufacture products, pour candles, fill perfumes, pack orders, haul inventory, answer my panicked phone calls, and keep this dream moving forward. Western Hive might have started with me, but it takes a whole crew behind the scenes to make it happen.

We’re all blown away by the support.

Thank you for believing in this dream long before it looked like one.

And don’t worry… we’re not done yet. We’ve already got another new product coming very, very soon. 👀

Fresh wildflowers on the table. A good pair of boots by the door. The golden glow of the prairie as the sun slips behind the hills.

Blooming Boots captures that feeling in a bottle. Warm vanilla, blooming florals, and golden amber come together in a scent that feels soft, feminine, and effortlessly beautiful.

Made for the women who work hard, love fiercely, and still find time to stop and smell the wildflowers.

This shoot took us to Shaylee’s family ranch, the Birdseye Ranch, tucked along the southwestern mountains of Alberta beside Waterton National Park.
The weather was all over the place that day, but somehow that made it even better. Between the wind, the laughs, and chasing the perfect light, we had the best time bringing these perfumes to life.

We spent part of the day shooting inside the family barn and one of the old farmhouses on the property.
I remember visiting this ranch years ago as a teenager, so getting to come back and photograph this collection here felt pretty special.

The barn was easily one of my favourite locations.
Every corner was packed with character. The horse stalls with their aged wood and custom metal details stopped me in my tracks. It was such a beautiful space, full of charm and history.

Of course, no ranch visit is complete without a welcoming committee. We were greeted by the resident barn cat, a bottle-fed calf, and a whole lot of western hospitality.
