🌳 Science Enrichment - Wondrous Wetlands of AB
ACA@Home is proud to partner with Discovery Days for a hands-on, 4-week class about the fascinating wetlands of Alberta!

Throughout our program, you will be building your own diorama with the layers of a wetland, plants, bugs, amphibians, and animals that are all at home in the marshy environment. You will learn about the ingenuity of the beaver as you make your own dam and how clever the Red-winged Blackbird is at hiding her nest amount the reeds, you will be able to copy her in constructing a nest of your own! Discover the unique traits of the Tiger Salamander and Northern Leopard Frog you make your own recreations of these little critters out of clay. You will also see the amazing traits of snails, water beetles, and dragonflies as we attempt to capture them in a water colour painting. It will be so much fun creating cattails and water lilies. Wetlands are a rich and diverse ecosystem just waiting to be explored. We hope you will join us to make some new discoveries and build an amazing model of your own.
