No better way to start a week than with a brand launch!

Huge congratulations to on all their hard work the last few months while we've been giving their shop a complete makeover.

Not only did we create this beautiful new brand design for their business, but after our deep strategy work we gave them a new name and tagline too!

So many exciting things ahead for this heart led business and I'm so grateful I got to join forces with them on this super fun project!

Ok, so unpopular opinion, but *sometimes* I LOVE the revision stage of a branding project. 😅 Hear me out.

Last week I sent off a brand design presentation to a client and this morning received the sweetest feedback video from them raving about how excited the whole team was to move forward with the designs. The ONLY small tweak we decided to make was on their tagline.

So when I began working with this client, there was some uncertainty when it came to the tagline copy. We played around with some different ideas, but now, after having gone through the entire brand strategy and design process, my client has so much clarity and confidence in their tagline copy.

We are moving forward with a new and improved tagline, knowing exactly the language and tone that sets them apart, speaks to who they are, and how they make an impact.

Investing in branding isn't just about the designs you get at the end, it's also about the journey getting there. The amount of things you learn about yourself and your business and how you want to show up and stand out is in my opinion the best part.

One of my most frequently asked questions is if I can design “just a logo.” Lucky for you, I genuinely care about your success, so the answer is a hard NO, girlfriend.

Let’s take a look at why your brand is more than just a logo. When you look at this simple product tag, what do you see?

Here we have a carefully curated colour palette that was intentionally created to evoke specific feelings and an intended vibe. It was tried and tested, tweaked and perfected to ensure it performs everywhere on everything.

We have a vertical wordmark. This business also has a gorgeous horizontal variation which looks great on a website header, signage and other horizontal platforms, but trying to fit it onto a vertical tag would not have worked! Your brand needs to have different variations for different purposes.

You’ll also notice their brand mark symbol that can be used with or without the wordmark. Brand marks have so much meaning behind them and help tell your story. They allow you to create consistent yet alternative variations to make things interesting and memorable, and most of all, adaptable and flexible.

There is an alternate mark with their established year that compliments the other elements, and the outer oval shape that aligns perfectly with the curves in the rest of the brand and takes the design aesthetic to the next level.

And then we have the beautiful, HAND PAINTED pattern that really tells a story about this community focused, artist & maker driven business and what they stand for. Fun fact: the business owner was brought into the creative process and painted these shapes personally, which had such an effect on her connection and pride in her brand. Because you know what – your mindset transformation is just as much a part of the branding process as the visuals are.

And here's the most important part. We spent weeks doing deep strategy work to uncover the story we wanted to tell, the feelings we wanted to evoke, and the overall direction of each of these individual brand elements.

Now strip this all away and imagine this product tag without the entire brand experience and a "logo only" approach. Which do you think serves your business better?
