Rustic Sourdough Bakery

ke the one hand-crafted at our Calgary Bakery, Rustic Sourdough does not taste sour at all. We are using the same sour for many years, refreshed daily. The "so called" sourdough breads and buns at most bigger chain stores or restaurants are often regular wheat breads with the addition of chemicals, sometimes even vinegar to imitate a "sour" note. This has absolutely nothing to do with a sourdough bread like ours. Our bakers are mostly from Europe and have years of experience in the trade of artisan sourdough production. We do not use any industrial bread mixes and we scale, round and shape all our breads by hand. All our breads are hand-crafted without the use of any preservatives and/or other additives like emulsifiers, and flavour enhancers. Jos Rehli, Owner
