Terrible news out of Ontario today. Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of the tow-truck operator who was struck and killed while helping a stranded motorist. The driver responsible fled the scene, and police are now searching for a blue transport truck with a blue trailer and black tarp. The westbound lanes of Highway 401 at Cedar Creek were closed for several hours as investigators responded.
If you see anyone working roadside — roadside crews, construction workers, or stranded motorists — please slow down and move over. It could save a life.
