I've been on a grief journey since my Dad passed away in February.

It's quite amazing the extremes a heart can hold. The sadness, the ache, the hurt. Layered with the love, the awe, the gratitude.

There's something so tender and true about this journey. The raw, energetic dances with the expansion and contraction my system feels. It's been an experience through the depths and heights, with love holding my hand. As well as my heart.

I've been in the most love-filled, held space as many of us celebrated his life and honored his death last Tuesday. A small group of us laid him to rest in the Earth a week ago today. There was something so beautifully palpable about it all. The connection, the love, the tenderness. The timing of the sun, the wind, the rain. The laughter and the tears. The stories, the silence, the songs. The lake, the sand, the prairies. The dragonflies and the falcons.

The weavings were both visible and palpable. Not just to me, but felt by many. And I am finding a deep nourishing comfort in the alchemy of it all.
