Many years ago I developed a body of work dedicated to my family who homesteaded in Saskatchewan. This group of work traveled across Western Canada with great reviews. Now this exhibition will be on display at The Collectors Gallery of Art in Calgary and will be available for purchase.
This group of work tells the story of 100 years of farming through paintings, assemblages and installations. Both grandparents homesteads were cannibalized for rich historical pieces of the past integrated into the work.
This exhibition revisits the important and valuable conversation about the changing social fabric of the Canadian Prairies.
