Utilizing indigenous storytelling, wisdom and art/crafts to encourage home-based interactions around literacy and life-skills development.

04/25/2022

The purpose of the Thunderbird Learners Program is to motivate children to want to read and to be open to learning through storytelling, art and crafting.

The love of reading happens when children enjoy the time spent exploring stories actively with those closest to them – their siblings, caregivers or friends.

Our program offers the opportunity for families of children aged 6-12 years old, to take the journey together. Parents and caregivers especially, can nurture the reading seed by spending time in the exciting world of storytelling, book reading and discussion about the many things learned in the process.
