FINALLY caught my 𝙃𝙤𝙮𝙖 𝙎𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙨 in bloom… and wow, was it worth the wait! 🌟

I’ve been so patient with this quirky little guy—those thin, leafless stems just kept teasing me. A few times I either missed the bloom completely or it aborted before opening 😩 But this time? Success!

I spotted it opening up at night (of course it had to be after dark 🌙), which made snapping a decent photo super tricky with my phone light and zero tripod skills 😂 I was crossing my fingers it would stick around for a couple days so I could get better pics in daylight… but nope! The next morning it had already closed up, and I haven’t seen it reopen since. These flowers are such divas—nighttime wonders that last just one evening according to what I’ve read!

Still, seeing those fuzzy little orange stars pop open felt like such a win. Patience pays off in the plant world, friends! 💚

Here in Calgary we’ve been totally spoiled with this warmer winter weather — like, who needs a parka when it’s feeling like early spring already? 🌞❄️😍

Our Hoyas are clearly feeling the vibes too because LOOK at these blooms popping up everywhere! 🌟
Our 𝙃𝙤𝙮𝙖 𝙋𝙞𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙥𝙞𝙨 finally decided to show off those fluffy pink stars after unknown months or year of just being a pretty leafy vine… and a couple others are joining the party too!
