Step 4: Apply like a pro.

Most of us don’t follow these pro tips. But does that even matter?

☝🏼Actually, yes! We’re not actually getting the amount of SPF that the label indicates. Sunscreen testing is done following the above protocols, so if we under-apply, more UV is reaching the skin than tested. Oof.

So what if we can’t adhere to those protocols?

💡 Choose a higher SPF! You won’t need the full amount of that higher SPF sunscreen either, but at least you’ll get closer to the original SPF you were intending on!
