If the new property you are looking at has a downpayment payable in 68 months that's fine. It means you can pay the unit direct to the developer interest-free. For me, the longer the better.

It's like paying the entire amount good as cash. Also, whatever extra amount you can add during the construction period, will be deducted from the turn overbalance. Then, whatever remaining balance is left before turn over, that's where you avail bank loan which will be easy to manage.
