Work/Flow/Film

Had the opportunity to see Charlie Kaufman and Eva H.D. In Conversation this morning at Contemporary Calgary thanks to and afterwards went for a walk along the river to enjoy the beautiful weather and process the conversation, which was fairly wide ranging and difficult to distill, but my thoughts keep returning to the beauty of art, and the ability of art to communicate with people, and how we need to express ourselves in a way that is personal and true.
They very graciously answered audience questions (including my own about the challenges/freedoms of adapting poetry to film).
I didn’t take@photos of the event because it felt antithetical to their short film “How to Shoot a Ghost” (which is beautiful), but I couldn’t help taking a few shots along my walk, including the site where Eau Claire Market once stood…
