Different profs, different perspectives, different learning environments… different knowledge. I find that I’ve latched onto certain ideals that steered my art into a direction I wasn’t happy with anymore, but I realized the reason I make art in the first place is to channel my pain into art in hope of lifting people around me up as well. This piece speaks to challenges balancing my tattoo career and school, to my perspective on creating environmentally sustainable art, the lens in which I view myself and the world around me. Steel as structure, organized chaos engrained in my energy, the crossfire of my position as an artist in this world.
