Dealing with Hip and/or Knee pain due to osteoarthritis?
At Acumen Health Calgary we will be offering a small group, in person, 6 week strength training and pain management program for those dealing with OA.
This will be every Tuesday and Thursday from January 17th to February 23rd. The goal of this program is to increase function with daily activities, provide education, and improve overall body strength!

Meet Dustin!
Dustin Oranchuk brings 13 years of excellent experience. His most recent, completing a stint abroad in New Zealand and Australia earning a Ph.D. in Sports Science, with a focus on neuromuscular adaptations to resistance training. Dustin Oranchuk has a deep background as a strength and conditioning specialist, and as a researcher in several areas of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and sports science. Dustin has worked with teams in the private sector, Canadian Olympic, NCAA, and U-Sports systems. He has also published over 25 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals and presented them at several national and international conferences.
He is currently developing the Sports Science database at Acumen Performance so that we are able to treat and train all of patients and clients with the latest evidence based techniques.
He has experience working rodeo, basketball, swimming, football, and volleyball athletes.

Meet Cayla!
As a competitive athlete and outdoor enthusiast, Cayla Galarneau decided she wanted to play an active role in helping people achieve an injury-free lifestyle to pursue their adventures without limitations. Cayla completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary with an Advanced Certificate in Athletic Therapy from Mount Royal University and became a Certified Athletic Therapist in 2010. While at UofC Cayla supported the wrestling athletes preparing for nationals, and Olympic trials and won the ACAC championship working with the women’s hockey team. She spent several years working lacrosse.
Cayla has experience working with shoulders, hips, and knees. This includes treatment and exercise for sport injuries, before/after surgery, with osteoarthritis and more.
