Maasai displaced after huts burned in Tanzania - BBC News More than 100 Maasai huts are reportedly burned by game reserve authorities amid an ongoing dispute.

Meet Lauren, one of our volunteers, and Aluishwa, who took Lauren under her wing during her trip. Close bonds and friendships are formed during 10 days of working together towards a common goal -- economic development for the community and education for the children.

Lauren, our volunteer, is giving the children their first breakfast when they come to school. The food program was founded and launched by this dynamic group of volunteers. It came to their attention that the kids were coming to school hungry -- they will learn better with nourishment! According to Kressa, the volunteer trip leader, this captured moment is special because when the children were asked to draw a picture of a volunteer, everyone drew the cups of porridge and the big pot. Obviously being fed was very important for them.
