Visiting our MoveUP members in Port Hardy, Port McNeil, & Campbell River!🌲

Last week, MoveUP President Annette Toth travelled to North Vancouver Island to meet our Coastal Community Credit Union members working in Port Hardy & Port McNeil. She then went to Campbell River to visit with more of our Coastal Credit Union members, as well as ICBC & BC Hydro members.

Thank you to our North Vancouver Island members for welcoming us into your workplaces & telling us about your unique & important work in your communities!

Earlier today, MoveUP Secretary-Treasurer Brenda Chu, Vice-President Christy Slusarenko, and Union Representative Dora Wong visited the members of the BC Nurses' Union walking the picket line at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital to offer our union's ongoing solidarity and support as they continue to fight for a fair collective agreement that recognizes the true value that nurses and healthcare workers bring to our healthcare system.

With mediation ongoing, the picket lines are set to go down by the end of day on Tuesday as a sign of good faith from the BCNU members towards reaching a fair deal.

Shout out to our bargaining committee from BEEM Credit Union who are at our office today preparing for upcoming bargaining with the employer!
