When Hunger Turns to Desperation

Graphic photos are never easy to post, but we can’t stay silent any longer. This heartbreaking image is a stark reminder of what happens when basic needs go unmet in Manitoba.

A lack of food, basic training, and veterinary care can drive even the most loyal companions to unthinkable acts just to survive. No animal should have to face this kind of suffering and no human should have to witness this. (Especially time and time again)

Together, we can change this reality.

Every donation, every shared post, every act of kindness brings us closer to our mission where no dog is left to fend for themselves. No dog should ever have to choose survival over companionship.

We need to invest in a humane and sustainable Manitoba. Leaders at all levels and community members need to make this a priority at their meetings and stop using dog shoots and rescuers as a way of managing dog populations. Vet care and bylaw enforcement are the strongest starting points.

No negative comments will be tolerated. We need action and dedication now. It’s utterly heartbreaking day after day.
