National Indigenous Peoples Day is coming up on June 21, a time to celebrate and recognize the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Mรฉtis Peoples across Canada.

In Brandon and throughout Westman, we are fortunate to live, work, and gather on lands that have been home to Indigenous Peoples since time immemorial. As we approach this important day, we encourage everyone to take time to learn, reflect, and participate in local events and activities that honour Indigenous cultures and communities.

Join us in celebrating the stories, traditions, knowledge, and resilience that continue to shape our region and country.
