The setting sun tonight from the Thompson Bridge turned the flooding Assiniboine River into a ribbon of gold over our beautiful Wheat City.
Nature is still breathtaking even during difficult times. Thinking of all those affected by this flooding.♥️

Well, this was a delightful surprise tonight! There was a little fox, not too far from my backyard so I went down and sat in the grass quietly with my camera.
He trotted past me a few times he knew I was there, but didn’t pay much attention.
But then he came to get a closer look at me while I was looking at him….. a REAL good look.
He got so close to me in fact I couldn’t focus my camera on him anymore…….🤣
If my heart could’ve exploded from joy it would have!♥️🦊♥️
He inspected me and then went on his way to pull a little snack out of a nearby dirt pile. It looked delicious.😬

Roots
I ♥️ Manitoba.
And summer is full of so many views that bring all the memories of growing up.
Sutting on tail gates in pastures.
Long dusty gravel roads.
Going into town with my grandparents for ice cream.
Riding in the tractor.
Chewing wheat…..never tasted like gum to me. 😬
Riding dirt bikes up the field beside the shelter belt, getting pelted in the face with bugs.
Summer fairs.
Wildflowers in ditches and pastures.
A chorus of crickets and frogs serenading the big open prairie sky every night.
And a good storm once in awhile.
Still love all of it.
