Did You Know... That toothbrushes were invented over 5,000 years ago?

The first “toothbrushes” were used between 3500–3000 B.C. in Babylon and Egypt. They were similar to what we’d call a “chew stick” today, a thin twig with a frayed end to rub against teeth in order to clean them.

How do we know about these ancient dental tools? We’ve found them preserved in Egyptian tombs – seems like even mummies cared about clean teeth!

Tip For Your Teeth: Pack your toothbrush in your carry-on.

The only thing worse than losing your luggage is losing your luggage WHILE having bad breath.

That’s why, if you’re traveling this winter (or anytime, really), make sure to pack your toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, or any other hygiene products you may need in your carry-on bag.

Just make sure to bring travel-sized toothpaste and mouthwash, or you may have to dispose of them at security.
