We have shared quite a bit about the risk of heat stroke and how to keep your dog safe this summer.

With the smoke from the Northern wild fires blowing in, we also have to contend with air quality.

Please be aware that your dogs will also be affected by this. And many will be feeling the effects long before you will. Specifically the short snouted, flat faced dogs.

With smoke heavy in the air, please be mindful of how much exertion your dog is putting out. That moderate to heavy panting is pulling in air full of smoke and toxins. Reduce exercise and outdoor exposure during these times as much as possible. Watch out for signs if struggle, coughing etc.

In Puppy Basics, we focus on building confident, neutral puppies through positive exposure and experiences.
What makes our approach different?

We combine private lessons with group classes, allowing dogs and handlers to learn new skills in a controlled environment before practicing them around real-world distractions. This helps set puppies up for success by building confidence, understanding, and creating training foundations before taking those skills out into everyday life.

Class begins the week of August 17th with the 2 private lessons coming first.
Group class portion will begin on September 19th
