Originally a duo, the group was formed by best friends and creative partners Sawyer Walker, known as Sawyer Blade, and Kevin Yourk, known as Knostalgik. The name itself, an acronym for "Sawyer Walker as Kevin Yourk," represents the unbreakable bond between two artists who shared a vision, a sound, and a mission.

Tragically, Sawyer Blade’s life was cut short, but his spirit continues to live on through Knostalgik, who has made it his purpose to keep their music and message alive. Blending raw lyricism, melodic vocals, and varying styles of production, SWasKY’s music carries the weight of experience, passion, and the echoes of a friendship that transcends time.

Drawing inspiration from boom bap, hardcore, and underground hip-hop, as well as other genres, Knostalgik ensures that every verse, beat, and performance embodies the energy and vision that he and Sawyer Blade built together.
