Making Change

Communities that lack diversity often don’t see themselves as “part of the conversation.”

So the entry point can’t be race alone, it has to be universal values:

• Belonging
•Safety
•Community pride
•Raising empathetic kids
•Being good neighbours
•Curiosity about the world

Because once we lead with values, people don’t feel “othered” or defensive. They feel invited.

Here's an example:
Instead of “Let’s talk about racism,”
try “Let’s explore how [Town or Company] can be a place where everyone feels they belong.”

That subtle shift opens doors.
