I made this swimsuit.
And then I almost didn’t wear it.
It felt like… a lot of skin.
Not the most flattering.
I haven’t worn a bikini in a long time.

And when I saw this photo? I debated sharing it.
Picked it apart. Wondered if it was “too much.”
Too soft, too exposed, too imperfect.

But my teenage daughter looked at me and said,
“Mom, no one really cares but you. Just wear it.”

So here I am. In a me-made suit. On a dock.
Still feeling a bit unsure, honestly.
But also really proud.
Of the suit. Of the moment. Of showing up anyway.

Because maybe confidence isn’t loud or fearless.
Maybe sometimes it looks like hitting ‘share’ even when your inner critic is screaming not to.

And no, this fabric or pattern isn’t in the shop—this one was just for me. But sometimes the why behind the make matters more than the link I could drop.

Every maker starts somewhere — and so did we.
