Proof that even beans can be elegant Serves 4- as a side dish ¼ cup (60 ml) extra-virgin olive oil 1 large white onion, diced 2 cloves garlic, sliced 2 (400-ml) cans cannellini beans, rinsed well, drained Leaves from 2 sprigs fresh rosemary 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon ground black pepper Heat the oil in a wide pan on medium-high heat. Add the onion and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the garlic and sauté for a few more seconds. Add the beans, reduce the heat to medium, and stir well. Add the rosemary, salt and pepper and stir. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the flavours are combined, about 5 minutes, and transfer to a serving dish. 04/26/2026
