Before you head out for your next sunny midday loop, save these 3 rules to keep your ride safe and enjoyable:

🐢 2. Check the Ego, Lower the Pace: Your heart rate will naturally be 5-10 beats higher in extreme heat. Drop your target pace by just 10-15% on the climbs—you'll save yourself from a massive bonk later on.
⚠️ 3. Watch for "Tar Snakes": Keep a sharp eye on the road surface. High temperatures melt the bitumen on older roads, creating slick, sticky patches that can cause your tires to lose traction in sharp corners.
