It is hard to believe our Grade 12 student, Payton Rempfer, is already wrapping up her high school career, and what a journey it has been! She is known around our school for her incredibly vibrant, lively, and unmistakable energy and she has channeled that big personality into becoming a true leader outside the classroom. Over the years, she has dedicated herself to the Irricana 4-H Beef & Multi Club through 4-H Alberta, proving that when youth find their passion in organized activities, they truly find their stride and learn how to focus their talents.
She has poured her heart into the Sheep Project, mastering the ins and outs of how to raise, groom, and show market lambs, while also jumping headfirst into multi-judging competitions and communications activities. Her club just wrapped up their big Achievement Day, and she is now gearing up for the massive Calgary Region 4-H On Parade event. We know she will be working hard to make sure her lamb is looking "baaa-rilliant" for the judges, and we are confident she will fleece the competition with her signature enthusiasm.
Whether she is fine-tuning her grooming skills or stepping into the ring, she is always the first to volunteer and pitch in with a helping hand, proving that a willing heart and a positive attitude are worth their weight in gold. Organized youth programs like 4-H have a wonderful way of helping kids harness their leadership potential and community spirit, and we are so proud to see how Payton has grown. We cannot wait to see where Payton's energetic spirit takes her next, and we wish her the absolute best of luck! 🍀🐑

We are thrilled to celebrate graduating senior Miley Becker, a long-time member of 4-H Alberta and a familiar face in the show ring with Becker Cattle Co., where she has invested countless hours raising the stakes and perfecting her craft. Within the Swalwell 4-H Beef Club and the Kneehill 4-H District, she has stepped up to hold nearly every executive title available, including Club Reporter, Secretary, and District Representative, proving she is definitely a cut above the rest.
While she is known for her quiet confidence, Miley’s leadership speaks volumes, and she certainly knows how to steer a project in the right direction. As the District Treasurer, she took on the responsibility of managing a complex budget for both the District and Livestock Sub Committee, flawlessly overseeing fundraiser revenues and crucial Achievement Day expenses. In a unique district where youth members hold full executive authority, Miley’s diligence showed everyone that she isn't one to follow the herd; she’s got a prime mind for business. Beyond her exceptional work on the executive board, Miley has committed herself to mastering the technical side of the industry. She has actively sought out growth opportunities at every turn, participating in specialized workshops for clipping, grooming, halter-making, and showmanship. From provincial multi-judging events to showing top-tier cattle, her deep knowledge and steady work ethic have given her a well-done foundation for the future, ensuring she’s always ready to carve out her own path.
Congratulations, Miley, on milking every opportunity for all it’s worth and achieving so much out in our community! We are proud to have you representing our area, and we know your quiet leadership and passion mean you will rarely ever miss a beat. We hope your graduation was fantastic and that you enjoy celebrating this legendary milestone!
