Recently, our Executive Director, Steve, had the opportunity to share the vision of M2W2 with the Kiwanis Club of Chilliwack.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share about the work being done to create safer communities and provide hope beyond incarceration. Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Chilliwack for your generous donation and your investment in restoration and second chances.

Mentorship begins with empathy, compassion, and a willingness to listen.

Sometimes that means sitting across from someone for two hours while they talk through frustration, pain, or disappointment. Other times, it means playing games because that is what feels safe and comfortable that day.

That flexibility helps build trust over time.

For people leaving prison, the weight of a label can follow them into the community.

That’s why mentorship matters.

M2W2 mentors build real relationships through simple, human moments — playing cards, sharing stories, talking about everyday life. Over time, those moments help remind mentees that not everyone sees them as “former prisoners.”
