I keep running into this one lately, people are not allowed to back up their data from their computer because they made the name of their file including the path more than 255 characters. Keep your folder names short and file names short or you won’t be able to back them up. Example:
C:\users\client\documents\Overly boring long folder name\once again another folder with a really long name\this is really important you must keep in a separate place\files from 2021 and maybe a few other years\ funny jokes from my uncle Bob that really made me laugh so that I spit my milk out.DOC

If you count up all the characters and that you will find that it’s over 255 characters and you think it’s a strange example but I see this all the time. Short file names, short folder names and not too many folders.

Once again another client installed an HP printer and did not customize the software so that they removed HP update. This three year old printer now has done a firmware update and she is no longer able to use aftermarket ink cartridges and she’s forced to go back to buying expensive HP cartridges. This is why I tell people never to buy HP printers. Under the law in Canada after a printer is more than six months old you are legally allowed to use a reverse engineered compatible cartridge but HP sends firmware updates to the printers to either kill them or force you to use their cartridges again. They are not and honest company.
