Simple Skills In collaboration with SkyTech Drones, Carerra Holdings we successfully conducted specialized training with JCHX copper mine on the powerful DJI Matrice 350 RTK integrated with advanced SLAM LiDAR technology for underground stope monitoring and mapping.

Our team trained the staff extensively on both theory and practical operations directly within the actual working environment where the drones will be deployed. The operators performed exceptionally well during practical flight exercises and autonomous underground missions. 👏🚁

By utilizing autonomous drone technology in hazardous, GPS-denied underground voids, the DJI Matrice 350 RTK was able to safely capture high-fidelity 3D point clouds within minutes. This cutting-edge workflow enables accurate ore volume calculations, overbreak analysis, inspection, and mapping — while keeping survey teams completely out of harm’s way. 🎯

The DJI Matrice 350 RTK can also seamlessly integrate with the Hovermap system, making them highly complementary technologies for underground mining operations. In this setup, the DJI M350 acts as the aerial platform, while the Emesent Hovermap functions as the SLAM scanner and autonomous navigation payload. For underground stope monitoring, the Hovermap is mounted directly onto the DJI M350, enabling autonomous exploration and mapping in complex underground environments.
