This past Weekend, June 6th 2026, I officially graduated with my second Masters Degree, Masters of Laws In Intellectual Property, a prestigous joint degree between World Intellectual Property Organization Academy, African Regional Intellectual Property Organization - ARIPO and University.

Although I was not present at the ceremony, I felt so emotional watching my peers in beautiful black gowns. MIP is not an easy course especially for someone like me who has no background in Law . I got all B's and two A's in Trademark Law and Patent Law.

My Thesis: PROTECTION OF GEOGRSPHICAL INDICATIONS FOR ETSHA WOMEN HAND WOVEN BASKETS.

Special thanks to C**A - Companies and Intellectual Property Authority - Botswana for paving my way from an IP Influencer to an IP pratitioner. I can never take this opportunity for granted. Thats where my interest in IP Law started.

Botswana Craft Marketing especially Mr Oliver Groth who gave me a detailed background on Etsha Baskets, the weavers, Marietta Magasula Basadi, Malebogo Selemogo, Game Lyon GamSkate Sekate, Masi Sithole, Kemelo Muzila and Clarence H Cole .
