Minister of Higher Education Hon. Prince Maele Applaud Byte Size College (BSC)...

On a mission to tour private ETPs, the minister of Higher Education yesterday paid an official visit to BSC on the 23rd June 2026. The main objective of the visit was to make sure that there is a clear transformation as far as Higher education is concerned. This is in view of the fact that the government spends a lot of money sponsoring students and is planning to spend more on students in tertiary institutions.

The Minister was impressed by what was presented in the speech by BSC Deputy Head of Academics Ms Maphorisa.
According to the Minister, the college speech content pre-empted what was in his own speech.

The minister went on to state that, he did not know about BSC before but was really impressed by the way the institution (BSC) delivers its services.
He then reassured the college management that he will certainly and openly talk about BSC within as well as outside the Botswana. This is mainly due to the fact that the college started from humble beginnings, owns the college buildings and it is one hundred percent citizen owned.

In conclusion, he informed the gathering that he was proud of the achievements made by the college.
