MEET COACH TLALENG
Coach Tlaleng first joined Propellers in 2020, where she spent a year teaching Learn to Swim and helping young swimmers build confidence in the water. In October 2025, she rejoined the Propellers family, this time bringing her passion and experience to Gymnastics coaching.
Her sporting journey began in Judo (2012–2017), where dedication and hard work earned her the opportunity to compete in a Kurash competition, winning a Bronze Medal and receiving a certificate of achievement.
In 2018, Coach Tlaleng expanded her skills into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, training until 2024. She later worked in Lesotho at Lencer’s Inn Hotel as a Receptionist, where she also completed an Occupational Health and Safety course, earning certification before returning to Botswana.
Fun fact: Coach Tlaleng has a strong passion for martial arts and enjoys learning skills that help her grow both in and outside of sport

Representing the South, the Propellers squad delivered outstanding performances at the North vs South Competition, proudly bringing home multiple medals. Their hard work, determination, and resilience were evident throughout the competition as they competed with passion and pride.
A special congratulations to Talia Bvindi and Aone Serero for their exceptional performances and for being crowned Victrix Ludorum champions. Your dedication, consistency, and pursuit of excellence continue to inspire the entire Propellers family.
We are proud of every swimmer who represented the team with courage and sportsmanship. The future continues to look bright for Propellers.
At 79 years old, Mrs Makgatho continues to defy limits by choosing movement over excuses. Despite refusing knee surgery, she has turned to water as her rehabilitation tool — proving that healing and strength can still be achieved through determination and consistency.
Through aquatic exercise, Mrs Makgatho is able to stay active while reducing pressure on her knees, improving mobility, strength, and confidence in a safe environment. Her journey is a powerful reminder that age is not a barrier to taking control of your health.
At Propellers, we celebrate resilience, courage, and the decision to keep moving forward — one step, and one stroke, at a time.
