Volkswagen Polo 1.2 TSI

This VW Polo came in with a persistent misfire on cylinders 2 and 3. After a thorough diagnostic process, multiple components were tested and inspected to eliminate common causes.

✅ Ignition system checked
✅ Fuel system checked
✅ Compression tested
✅ Extensive diagnostics performed

After further investigation and engine disassembly, the root cause was traced to the cylinder head. The engine has undergone previous repairs and skimming work over its lifetime, and measurements have confirmed that the cylinder head has reached its service limit. Uneven machining from previous repairs has resulted in sealing issues affecting cylinders 2 and 3.

The next step is sourcing a replacement cylinder head to restore proper engine operation.

At 4 Wheels Performance, we believe in finding the actual fault instead of guessing and replacing parts unnecessarily. Proper diagnosis saves our customers time and money.

A replacement cylinder head is now being sourced, and we look forward to getting this Polo back on the road soon. 💪
