As we celebrate the unique nation that is Bhutan today, we offer our heartfelt gratitude to His Majesty The Fourth Druk Gyalpo, whose wisdom and leadership strengthened and renewed the foundations laid by our visionary monarchs. 🇧🇹

His Majesty built a legacy of peace, stability, and balanced progress, guiding Bhutan as it opened up to the world while preserving its identity, cultural integrity, and harmony with nature. He pioneered the visionary concept of Gross National Happiness, defining Bhutan’s distinct path to development. He brought Bhutan into the United Nations, managed the introduction of television and internet while preserving our cultural foundations, and introduced democratic constitutional monarchy in 2008.

GMC stands as a continuation of his vision: development with values, progress with purpose, modernity rooted in mindfulness. His Majesty showed the world that a small Himalayan kingdom could offer a different development model - one that GMC now carries forward.
